What option should I select at the first iTunes sync after jailbreaking/unlocking?
I just unlocked/jailbroke my iPhone 2G. After many tries of course. And I opened iTunes for the first time after jailbreaking and it shows me two options. Which one should I select? I want all my contacts and calender entries back. Please help.

If this was the first time jailbreaking it then just do it from backup.

It is recommended to choose "Set up new phone" to avoid any apps conflict.. I heard that if you restore from backup, sometime the apps will hang or closed by itself...

Thanks alvink83. I tried doing restore and screwed up my phone. Ended up installing 3.0 and jailbreaking again. Then selected set up a new iPhone and got all my contacts and calenders back.

Set-up as new phone is the safest and the most reliable method, especially when going from 2.x to 3.x.
