Phone is frozen with itunes logo and usb cable after jailbreak

I ran the redsnow jailbreak and all seemed to be going well but at the end instead of restarting it is stuck with a picture of the itunes logo and of an usb cable. I have tried to turn it off, comes right back to that screen... what can I do to fix this?

When I had this problem after I restored to a new iphone, I had to put in an O2 sim (the official carrier here in the U.K.) then disconnect and reconnect the cable from the phone with the sim still in then wait for it to be activated

just unplug the phone and then replug it back in and it should come up in itunes
