No service error
okay.. after upgrading to 3.0 and patching up with ultrasn0w, i kept receiving no service error. I reflashed the firmware, full reset, hard reset, and all other methods out there possible. Still receiving no service error.
So i decided to open up my iphone. Looked at the tutorial on youtube to open up the iphone. After opening the iphone, i discovered that a turbo sim or a tornado sim was wired up inside. My question is can i just pull that black tornado chip out? I definately sure that this is causing no service error. I believe the chip was meant to use with 2.2 firmware only. I wasn't aware of the turbo sim wired internally. I bought it off ebay.
please help if anyone knows if i should just pull the tornado sim out or is there any configurations?
thanks

You can't go back to FW2,x so the chip is useless, hopefully it is easy to remove and all should be well.
Good luck.He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.
