fido 3g question important
ok so i got a first gen iphone upgraded to 3.0 unlocked and jb with redsnow
im on a 3g plan with fido
how do i get my 3g network to connect i dont see the 3g logo at the top

Firts generation iphone is 2G only. You will not see a 3G icon. If you are refering to a Canadian firts generation (AKA 3G), then you will need to install boss prefs from cydia and from there, make sure the 3G toggle is on. Also, you can go into "settings/general/networks" and make sure the 3G toggle is also on "on"

If you have an iPhone 3G (black or white), it will connect automatically the 3G network if it's available. But, as mentioned above, if you have a 2G (silver back), it won't connect to 3G. Did you have 3G service before?

ya i have 3g service i had a 3g white 16gb phone but it got stolen so im using my old iphone
