Question Macbook noob - unlocked 3.0 iPhone - ok to sync?

    Hi all, Macbook noob here.

I know this is probably a dumb question but here goes...

I have an unlocked 3.0 iPhone. This was unlocked on an XP machine.

I have just got a brand new Macbook Pro - naturally this has just completed an update to iTunes 8.2 (23).

I have the fear that it will somehow lock when I transfer everything in iTunes over to the Macbook - please tell me I am being paranoid!!

I am emigrating next week and really do need the phone to remain unlocked!

Thanks for any assistance in advance. Apologies if posted in wrong area.

    Your paranoid.

To my knowledge (someone correct me if i'm wrong) you will loose all your music/videos/podcasts as you caun't sync from your iphone to a new iTunes/Computer that dosn't have the origional content.

Data like contacts and bookmarks can be re-synced from the iPhone as there is an option within iTunes for this.

The only time you should be worried about loosing your jailbreak/unlock is if you restore your phone, which wipes all the data off. Connecting to other Macbooks or PCs wont affact your unlock.

    Hope that helps.
