I unlocked and jailbroke 3.0 on 2G original iphone and put my Tmobile sim card and made a phone call to test everything out with success.I resold to a guy and slide will not work he tells me and it read Tmobile in the corner but says now it will not slide to unlock and when a call comes in slide to answer does not slide. What is the best solution to this problem? What could have happened?
I used Pwnage tool 3.0 also redsnow with cydia and even added cycorder to help the guy enjoy the phone a little more. It was working fine and its stuck on the Earth slide to unlock screen. It will not move to unlock
He told me he stuck the paper clip in ear plug then had a hard time pushing the sim tray out in the correct hole. I was planning on going over to restore the phone again with the custom 3.0 ipsw. The slide to unlock was working perfectly before he tried to remove the sim tray. Is it possible to damage something with ejecting the sim tray?
UPDATE-I saw the phone and had my Mac with me to perform Restore via itunes and custom 3.0 direct as it showed up in devices and restored and No touch response. I ran Redsnow flawlessly even though I could not turn the phone off still No touch, and I ran pwnage 3.0 flawlessly and still No touch. I held the powerbutton and could not slide to power off-no touch. It read the Tmobile sim and text messages were also visible on the homescreen but no ability to answer. He said he stuck a wire of paper clip that was on a magnet into the phone trying to figure how to remove the sim tray. I assume the magnet destroyed the digiter. Is that possible?

What sucks is i had the phone freshly unlocked and ready to go for 5 days. I was waiting for payment and pickup. I had tested the text messaging, used my own sim to make 5 test calls, even opened cydia and added cycorder. So you think something had to physically happen to it for the screen not to work?
I think it's damaged. I don't think it's a good idea to stick magnetic things into a phone. Or maybe he pokes it in the wrong way and damaged it that way?
There is a batch of 2Gs that have faulty digitizers. Apple will replace it even if its outta warranty, as long as the phone hasn't been tampered with. Restore to stock firmware and take it to the Apple store
Update-the guy called me after i ran redsn0w, pwnage 3.0 tool, and straight custom restore in itunes direct and a few days later the touch screen started working. He was able to slide to unlock but there was only the Cydia app on the page. I instructed him to go into cydia and install dashboard.Reboot did not bring his apps back and nothing else seemed to work. I was not going to make another house call so what should he have done to get his apps (original apps) back?
Check poof to see if icons are hidden. If Categories was previously installed you might need to reinstall and delete the folders in case you didn't manually do so before.
If that doesn't work, rejailbreak and see if that helps
The guy called me with the news touch was working again and i walked him thru of downloading and opening dashboard and it worked but i am not sure he knew how to check poof. He stuck something in the headphone jack hole then did something wrong trying to install the sim probably damaged or caused trauma to the phone before he called me. I had the phone set so well that all he needed to do was add his sim and go. He was so convinced it was the same as an ipod touch even registering with the ipod touch account and i told him no. Set up as new device and his itune apps would still be free if he purchased them again.
