Hi all,

I currently using a 3g version 2.2 (FW 02.28.00) and I'd like to upgrade to 3.0 and can be unlocked again, which step I have to do first ?

there are so many step by step guides how did you miss them all???

here's the brief rundown with links to the pages.

1. Backup your iphone(make sure to uninstall categories)
2. Restore your iphone to 3.0(you can download 3.0 from itunes or from the link in step 3)

make sure to follow the guides in the links exactly and you shouldn't have a problem

so I have to use the RedSnow to jailbreak and then unlocked with Ultrasnow. I read some one mention about do not use the Redsnow kindda confusing ...

p/s how do I uninstall the categories ?

open up categories and remove all apps before you upgrade and J/G. It will save you some headaches.
