Hello, Currently i have an iphone 2g with a prepaid plan using skype with the 100mb a month for $20. Well i was thinking..i could spend 15 more a month and get unlimited data. I also decided to upgrade to a 3g. My question is: Will i be able to just get a sim card from ebay or something.. call att and sign up for the pda personal plan with no questions asked? Or will they need to know my phone type?

Unless you can change your imei (fully illegal), carriers will know, make, model of your phone as well as how much you use it, what you are using etc.
