i have an 2g iphone that is unlocked and jailbroken.
i bought it off a friend so i didnt have to activate or anything just pop in my sim and go.
i currently dont have the data plan. im using a fake apn profile.

im wanting to upgrade to 3.0 im on 2.2.1 but if i upgrade will i lose my jailbreak and unlock?

also will have to reactivate the iphone once i upgrade to the new os or is there a way around it? since i dont have the data plan and all.

ive been trying to search the forums/web but got mixed feelings.

You will lose your jailbreak/unlock.
You can bypass activation with the new jailbreak/unlock but it's not out yet.

I didn't lose my unlock when upgrading to 3.0 on my 2g iPhone, just the jailbreaking side of things. Also I was able to go back to 2.2.1.
