    Default Old Skool iPhone

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a 1.1.1, I think. It has the USB going to an iTunes icon, the serial is 847475xxxxx.

I'm having some issues with unlocking it. I've tried to dial the *3001#12345#* and it won't dial, meaning it says "call failed".

I've had to restore it a few times and most of the time it gets stuck in restore mode. I think I should down grade my iTunes? It's 8.0.1

Can anyone point me in the right direction here, maybe a guide?

    THanks

1.1.1 is a veru old firmware- instead of downgrading itunes, why don't you upgrade the firmware on your iPhone?

I tried to upgrade to 2.2.1 with Pwnage and everything seemed to work fine until it was time to put it into DFU mode it went in a recovery mode. I received error messages ranging form 21, 1005 and a couple others.

Welcome to MMi. if I'm understanding what your doing, you doing it out of sequence,
You need to put the phone in DFU mode first, there restore in iTunes, then jailbreak.

What I discovered is that pwnage works flawlessly if you follow its prompts to put you in DFU mode, if you tell Pwnage that your phone has never been pwned before (even if it has) and having itunes open while running pwnage and immediately restoring with the custom firmware.

Thanks for the feedback guys.... I'm a bit confused I guess.

When I start Pwnage (I follow the easy to use directions) my iphone shows the USB going to the iTunes icon, with the "slide for emergency". When I get to the part on Pwnage where you have to "turn the device off" it automatically turns back and I no longer get the slide bar. Then I have to do a iTunes restore.

I'm trying to upgrade to 2.2.1, following the steps, I click the enable baseband box, change the root to 590 and upgrade the bootloader.

    thanks
