hello, i have a 1.1.4 upgraded iphone and im selling it to my uncle..
I want to know how to bypass activation because he doesnt want to start a new 2 yr contract with at&t since his is almost up..

could you lead me in the right direction on what to do.. it would be greatly appreciated.. thanks a lot

alright.. i used that and jailbroke it and activated.. but now with my uncles sim card in it.. it shows no bars and like no network on it? what do i do now?

you need to let ZiPhone jailbreak, activate, and unlock your iphone, then just pop his sim in, and you should be fine, but it has to unlock it, thats what I had to do with one of my boys phones who was on cingular before the merge.

leave SIM in, your uncles SIM, not the one that came with the iPhone. At least, this is what I did.

You won't have visual vm, unless you activate through itunes and get a apple plan.

thats the way it is on my phone. it is unlocked and hackitvate. I dont have visual vm.

AT&T won't add it onto your plan either.
