How do i activate the 3g phone without a sim card?

I've done it before just by using quickpwn, but for some reason i can't find an ipsw file it's happy with. I pick the one it tells me to use (then it tells me it's the wrong one?!

It says:-

The correct IPSW will have aname beginning with iPhone1,2_2.2.1

Then it says (in red):-

The IPSW file you have selected (iPhone1,2.2.1) does not match the firmware version of your device (iphone1,2_2.2).

WTF?????!?!?!?!?

it's a brick yet again.

This it THE last thing I'm doing with this b*****d phone before i get rid of it, i'm absolutley sick of the sight of the b*****d thing. I just want to turn it on ans see if the damn thing even works with an 02 card then it's going.

Double check your firmware file. Sounds like your trying to use a 2g FW for a 3g.
