1st gen iphone + os 3.0 + unlock?

Hi,

Is it possible to install iphone os 3.0 on 1st gen iphone (2G) and still unlock it to be sim free?

I have the apple developer program.

Yes the unlock is retained once you jailbreak, just search next time...

I did its just that I couldn't realize how it will affect the sim-free.

"If you're phone is registered with the dev program, don't chose activate if using quickpwn 030-2. It leaves your phone without a connection. I restored and tried again with only "jailbreak" selected and it worked fine. =]"

If I won't activate my phone it'll leave me "without a connection" - isn't that the opposite from what I want to do?
