19.99 data plan with tmobile

i have an unlocked iphone 3g and i just added the 19.99 data and message plan, but i cant access the EDGE network. i have tryed using epc.tmobile.com in the apn settings but i cant seem to get it to work.
Am i doing something wrong or am i not doing something. any help would be greatly appreciated

dont change the apn. leave it empty.
the epc.tmobile.com is when you use wap. and the 19.99 plan is not wap.
