unlocking iphone3g on O2 uk

hello, I am trying to unlock my iphone3g 16gb. the modem firmware now it is showing in settings as 02.28.00 and version as 2.0.2(5c1), I have sucessfully jailbreak it using winpwn 2.5 but now every other time in a minute or two my phone reboots and i cant use any other sim card other than O2, can any one please help me I am desperate to unlock it and want to use it on different carrier.

Then you need to restore in itunes (shift restore then pick the CF you have just downloaded) so remember where you put it

Then download yellowsn0w 0.9.7 or 0.9.8 from Cydia youmay have to add sours yellows0w.com

then after you have done this hey presto unlocked phone.
