Okay, I'm very confused as to what I should do.
Me and my Girl just bought a 2G iPhone for her sisters birthday coming up on March 28th, with mine following on March 29th =D.
I need help, when we got it, the woman said it was updating from apple, there is a black screen with the apple logo in the middle and a loading bar, going VERY slowly, as in, it's 2/3 of the way done and it's been going for 45-60 minutes. Anyway.
Mainly, I was wondering, there isn't one post where I can find all the information to Jailbreak and Unlock the phone, and I was wondering what F/W version I should use, I understand that I can update to 2.2.1 with the 2G and still be okay to unlock, but should I still use Yellowsn0w to unlock, or will I need to unlock the 2G a different way?
From my understanding,
I need to go into DFU mode,
Flash a Jailbroken 2.2 Firmware (with iTunes or QuickPWN)
Install Yellowsn0w through Cydia
Run Yellowsn0w
Does anyone have a step by step guide, this is my first unlock since my moto Razr =P
