Is it worth updating to 2.2.1??
Just curious if its even worth going through the process of re-jailbreaking and re-unlocking my iphone 3G for this update.
Can anybody provide me with any type of feedback or thoughts?
Thank you!

This firmware doesn't do anything except break the 3g unlock and dosen't look like its worth the trouble to restore, upgrade, jailbreak, and then reinstall everything.

Every update has new features, fixes and improvements. If you are not going to unlock your phone in the future using yellowsn0w then updating will do no harm just take time to update and jailbreak.
No unlock for 2.2.1 at this time....

I truly see no point in updating none of my two iphones. I don't care about unlocking but I am too lazy of going through the entire process of updating, jailbreaking, backing up for no reason. There is nothing important to the consumer in this update. This update is only important to Apple who thinks that they will stop us from jailbreaking and unlocking with their pointless and dumb updates. I'm staying on 2.2 (2.28) until an important update with real important "features" is out.

2.2 for the win, especially with all these threads of 'wtf 3rd party apps don't work on 2.2.1 whats going on'
I think I'm going to stick with 2.2 until 2.3 comes around, something that actually makes me WANT to update.

I think most of you folks are missing one big improvement in 2.2.1: I've had absolutely no Safari crashes since updating to 2.2.1.

I'm an atheist -- swear to God!
