* Two months ago.. phone dropped in toilet (Never put phone in back pocket!).
* Opened phone, dried out completely and has been working for about 3 months.
* Phone batterie went completely dead one day, plugged into car charger (Belkin) and then the screen displayed that the phone needed to be plugged into itunes for a restore.
* Got home, wouldnt recognise iphone to restore, pressed on home button and put in usb and now it is recognised.
* Attempted restore 5+ times and keeps getting stuck at the end of the progress bar on the fireware.
I took it to Apple Genius in Australia (thats where I am from) and they cant touch it... because the pink water indicators are showing.
There must be a way to fix the firmware or the problem somehow. Now my screen when on shows the usb cord and an itunes disc symbol.
The Apple Genius say that the firmware if slight damage will reject restore to prevent the iphone from damage. ? hmmm.
I am sure there must be a way to force through to restore and get my phone up and running again. I am hoping I can save my phone. Iphone retails at $1000 in AUstralia and I just cannot give up on it when it shows some sort of life on the screen you know.
I am not 100% technical, so if you are so kind to offer your suggestions please bear this in mind when you respond.
If it has hardware issue, there is no way to make it running&also apple don't change your phone with a water damage.Maybe you shoud go to repair service&see how the iphone is affected with water. But maybe you can try something.1st put it into DFU mode&look if the itunes will recognize your phone.
