Before any trolls come along, yes i did read the sticky at the top of this Forum.
However, i do have a few questions.
I purchased a 3G iphone through vodafone Australia outright, the phone is mine. However it is locked to vodafone obviously. I am moving to Canada and obviously i love my iPhone and would rather not find another iphone when this one works perfectly fine.
Is there such a method to unlock 3G iPhone's as yet? or even a legitimate method of doing so via payment to the provider (or someone else)
Thank you for your time in advance.

Reason: Grammatical Error
To do that, you must jailbreak your iphone using quickpwn with latest software 2.2. Visit http:blog.iphone-dev.org for the details on how to add the source in Cydia and then installing and getting yellowsn0w to run properly.
That sticky needs to be changed. There IS a free software unlock available called yellowsn0w. On a Windows machine with iTunes 8 installed and .net framework 2.0, you can use quicksn0w.
Good luck.
