Is there a way to get yellowsn0w on the phone without wi-fi/edge? I am in Afghanistan and would love to use my phone here with the local carrier but am not going to pay the outrageous data rate to get yellowsn0w over the air.

Dude, ... you need to do some reading. Nobody's going to hold your hand through this. Read read, and when you think you know what you're doing, then try to do something with your knowlege.

You don't have access to wifi, and can't afford a couple kb through edge, ... how the **** did you get an iPhone?

Sorry to bother you with a "NOOB" question. I live in the states, work for the fed gov't and came over here short notice or i would have done it there. at&t says that data could be as much as $40 for 1 email download. i apologize if i bothered you by trying to save some money and maybe at the time answer other peoples questions since i did READ and didn't find an answer. sorry again i didn't read all 101 pages of posts...i work 16 hours a day in an office with out internet. the hour or so i get on the internet can't all be looking through posts...i do have family to keep in touch with too.

If a post like that is going to get you that worked up then i think you shouldn't be here. I have seen much worse or as you call the noob posts.

Fair enough. I'm an as$h0le sometimes. It does make you wonder who he stole the iPhone from.

It just seems that a lot of people here are not here to gain any knowledge, they just want their phones magically hacked. I have been exploiting my electronics for years, and one thing I've learned is that you need to understand a little bit about w.t.f. you're doing.

My advise stands. Read, Read, and then Read some more. Then take that knowledge and do something with it.

Read, read, then read some more. This takes time. If you want it done quickly with little to no effort. Perhaps you can search for unlocking services because you clearly don't have time to do it yourself.
