2g locked with itunes 8.0.2

Please help. Bought 2g for my daughter with jailbreak and unlocked. Now she connected to itunes and I'm assuming it upgraded the firmware. Now it won't boot up and only emergency calls. Now tried the hard reset for 10 times and restarting mac and itunes game me a error code 2001. Now I can't power up the Iphone. I'm running out of options here and need your help. Thanks in advance.
