Hi all,

Ive got a 2g iphone that is refusing to unlock!

Ive upgraded it to 2.2, used quickpwn...all appears to complete fine. i pop my sim card in and get the dreaded "Connect to itunes" message.

Its driving me mad! I do the exact same process on my other 2g and it works no problem.

Any ideas? The phone is not lost or stolen, it was given as a present to someone i fell out with, who then gave it back to me lol.

any help is appreciated!

it's basically asking for it to be activated through itunes. Are you sure you checked 'Activate' in quickpwn?

As far as i can tell, you dont get an option to activate with quickpwn? Winpwn gives you the option but not quickpwn?? And i cant use winpwn with 2.2

Im not so sure it is asking for it to be activated because when i do connect it to itunes i get the message saying that there is another sim card in there (cant remember the actual message...pink background i think and basically telling me that the sim thats in there is not allowed)

SO....

I activated the phone via itunes with an O2 sim card in it...no problems works fine. If i put my voda or orange sim in there i get the message:

The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported.

blah blah blah!!

So...not only is quickpwn not activating the phone, it isnt unlocking it either! I have checked and you do not get an option to activate the phone via quickpwn, you get the options to unlock phone, add cydia, add installer and replace boot logos.

Any ideas?

When you start the ul/jb process be sure your sim card is in...

Had the same issue...

Put the sim you want to unlock to in, put your phone in DFU mode, and do a Shift+Restore to the 2.2 firmware...

Once completed, QuickPWN it...
