could someone help me out? i tried updating my iphone to 2.2 for the unlock, but it wont let me finish because it requires a At&t sim card which i dont have. what do i do? am i supposed to just quickpwn it? help would really be appreciated. thanks.

yep, download, and run quickpwn 2.2

browse to the firmware ipsw file where you updated your iphone from in itunes with quickpwn and it'll activate and jailbreak it.

after this you can go to cydia/installer and install yellowsn0w from the devteam's repository source

You need to add the source for yellowsn0w in cydia or installer that way it will show up

cydia source:yellowsn0w.com
Installer source:yellowsn0w.com

finally got mine to work, this is what I did intall yellowsnow did a network reset in the middle of the reset I pluged my sim in and waited about a min then turned airplane on for about 10sec then off and bam got my signal.

There it goes...finally. Thank you Dev Team. No airplane mode or flipping this switch and that switch. After update, re booted phone and T-Mobile USA instantly came on.

Hey guys i'm curious if you unlock with yellowsnow does that also unlock the 3g?
For example i'm with company X and want to use my phone in europe with company Y's 3g, will that work?

depends on the frequency of the 3g network

Thanks for replying gameviper, but I'm not sure if i understand.
If the company supports 3g then wouldnt i be able to use that 3g?
Just to clear it up i live in Canada but go to Italy for 2 months during the summer and would like to use my phone over there.
