Newbie Question!!!***
I have a new iphone 3g unopened, but i need to activate it since i plan on having it for t-mobile. Will quickpwn 2.2 activate my iphone 3g or just winpwn ??? or is "activating" the iphone 3g important
???

If you don't activate the iPhone, you're pretty much stuck with a fancy doorstop, since all major functions are disabled until you do. QuickPWN will attempt to unlock the phone yes.

The yellowsn0w unlock for the 3G does not work for T-Mobile USA unless you SIM card is several years old. You will be unable to make outgoing calls. I suggest a proxySIM (like Rebel SIM or Gevey SIM) until they figure it out.
