Hi Happy New Year! Jailbraking

Hi I've spend this whole day trying to unlock my 1st Gen 2.2 iPhone I downloaded Quickpwn followed the instructions read forums watched uTube Vids.

Ended up with message "An iPod has been detected,But it could not be identified properly."

WTF does this mean? Does anyone know?

Is it because I have OSX 10.6.5 on my MacBook?

HELP please

ps I've had my phone for over a year (I Love It)
