Default Unlocking from att to tmobile in nontechnical terms!

I had such a hard time unlocking my iphone to use tmobile, so when i finally got it, i decided to post how i did it, in the easiest to undertand way...for people who need non-techy kind of way. I hope this will help anyone having a hard time with the understanding of this.

This is the steps i used to switch from att to tmobile- Using Windows...2.2 firmware. 2g iphone.

MAke sure to have downloaded required files to jailbreak/unlock the iphone:

    QuickPwn for 2.2
    iPhone 1,1_2.2_5G77_Restore
    Bootloader files v3.9 and v4.6

    Can be downloaded here:
iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 2G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

And can use the iclarified instruction on that page as well, as it is very clear and easy to follow.

1.) Open itunes (updated version), make sure to connect your iphone so itunes can find it...(make a backup so you can restore at the end.) After backup is done, keep your phone connected to itunes then go to step 2.
2.) Locate the restore button, (just below the area that indicates if you have the updated firmware.) Hold down the shift key and click the restore button, this will bring up box to locate the firmware file you downloaded above called iPhone 1,1_2.2_5G77 Restore..once you located that, select it, and click open. Let the restore process run. When done you will have factory default iphone, with 2.2 firmware.
3.) Disconnect the phone from itunes, remove the att sim, put in the tmobile sim.
4.) Open quickpwn you downloaded in the beginning. And run the jailbreaking and unlocking process as iclarified shows and explains (Best instructions ever) Make sure to select UNLOCK, thats important, and follow all the instructions it tells you to do.

When thats complete and your phone restarts, you should be back to the regular screen with a tmobile carrier in the top left corner....your phone should be unlocked and ready to make calls on tmobile network.
You can then proceed to itunes and restore from your backup.

This is the process that worked for me...i hope it may help someone else.

There should be more posts like this... I hate when people post "I did it" without sufficient instructions... thanks.
