iphone 3g software unlock
this goes out to the iphone dev team thats currently in the process of doing a software unlock for the iphone 3g...... if there is factory unlocked iphone 3g baseband out there like hongkong italy etc.. why wouldnt u guys try to extract it and re apply it to us iphone 3g instead of makeing a whole new baseband ... and if the overseas baseband cant connect to 3g towers why dont u edit it with your own custom baseband to basically make it work for us considering ppl from the us are buying unlocked iphone 3g from over seas and using them here or even try to clone one not imei like the software all around so when u connect it the itunes knows its a factory unlocked iphone 3g so we never have to worry about unlocking the baseband or useing a certin baseband or downgrade ... logically speaking to me instead of fighing something ....work with it and use it to our advantages lolol but what do i know u guys are the genius... also do u think there will be a full working version of android on the iphone within a year ....
thanks so much

You have a few good points, but GOD I know it's tough to unlock the iPhone 3G but how much longer. Anyone know an estimate date? Picking up my turbo sim tomorrow or should I just wait for the devs to release the software. I dont want to have to wait very long *pulls out hair* . But yeah if devs ARE reading this keep making progress

Its just not that simple. For example, the HK iPhone runs on different freqs than the us or euro iPhones, so I'm sure that has something to do with it. And wouldn't you think that they have thought of this? Not to be rude or negative, just seems a little to obvious- too easy
Logically speaking, it all makes sense. But can we assume that Apple has been this stupid? They've got smart devs working for them.Last edited by Imahottguy; 12-03-2008 at 08:02 AM.
And it will be like a taco inside a taco within a Taco Bell that's inside a KFC that's within a mall that's inside your dream! Springboard screwy after reboot? Here is the fix

The Dev Team has explained why this is not possible on their blog several times. If you wish to spend hours combing through the thousands of posts to refresh my memory be my guest.
