ok guys and gals, just help me out, i stumble on this site iPhone Sim Unlock - FAQ i put the link on FAQ so i could see and you could see the answer to the question. browse the site and its so promising, is this legit? if somebody is using this pls post here. thank you in advance!!!

The 2G ( first generation) iPhone can be unlocked easily via software only. The 3G (newer model with white or black backside) can only be unlocked via a hardware unlock solution ( piggy back SIM)

ohhh nooo...like we didn't know this already. They'll just take your money and send you a turbo sim.

2.2 will only work if your modem firmware is 2.11 people have been upgrading and their 2.11 baseband change to 2.28. no turbo sim will work at this time.

My 3G baseband reads: 2.08.01

Can someone tell me if this is the original baseband before the new firmwares started being released for the 3G?

if you have the 2.08.01 baseband you will be able to unlock it with dev team's yellowsnow in dec 31st
but people like ME who were stupid enough to update to baseband to 2.2 are stuck with shitty sim cards
can anyone here tell me one that will work on 3g 2.2?
do you have any experience with the rebel sim card for 2.2?
