Any-Network release unlocking for iPhone 3g 2.2 with baseband update | Mobile Phone News by UKPS

Take a look at the article, it looks like a company has figured out what to update on their proxy sims and it's working with 2.2 baseband. Other companies are of course following through (copying their methods) so soon you can update your proxy sim to work. I can't wait till VIRGIN SIM gets theirs updated or provides us an update file to load on the proxy sim

A shipmate of mine upgraded his 3G to 2.2 and realized his sim adapter didn't work anymore. He downgraded to 2.1 and then did something to his baseband to get Tmobile to work on it again. I will ask him exactly what he did and post it here when he reports for his shift.

I was using a Gevey 3G, so I took that out and tried with a Turbo Sim (a real one from Bladox). First, what a complete pain in the a^s it was to get it there. When I tried to remove it, the Turbo Sim got stuck in the phone. I fished it out with a paper clip, but after all that effort, still did not work. Keeps coming up "no service". Guess I'll have to wait for the Dev team. Also, I tried that patch Ziphone by KIREM...that doesn't work either.

Looked at the Any Sim site..looks like a rip off to me, but to satisfy my curiousity I purchased one. I'll keep everyone updated and let you know if it works. Says it comes with a money back policy. Should arrive in 3-4 business days.

I have bought from them before and had no problems at all. I to have ordered the new sim adp as I upgraded to 2.2 so I will post finding when it arrives Wed. regards

so why does every one thingt it looks liek a rip off? because its 60 dollars? thats a lot... how soon does everyone think until we see one like this in the states?

yeah i did the same thing but my phone is locked with airtel india and i upgraded it to baseband 02.28.00 and according to dev team posts the unlock they are going to release on new years eve works only on iphone 3Gs with baseband 02.11.07 and earlier.. so i guess we're screwed for now atleast till we find a way to downgrade the baseband... ill keep looking...

Umm, I already stated that I upgraded to 2.2, so the point of giving instructions about 2.2 is moot.

i have a 3g iphone on mexico working with TELCEL but i update the version to 2.2 and i jailbreak and i put mi sim with a rebel sim and iphone has the NO SERVICE error can someone help me please

Try put your simproxy with your simcard in one cellphone of your carrier and make a call, and after, put only your simcard and make another call, then, you put your simcard with your simproxy in iPhone.

For me, this resolved the No Service problem. Good luck!

i live in lebanon and i just received the rebel sim sim proxy from London and it works!! rebel sim works with 2.2 and the 2.28.00 baseband!!

just wanted everyone out there to know

UPDATE:

two days after using rebel sim my phone got bricked again on it's own.. one minute i was talking and the next it said no service.. so i give up!! that's it i've had enough of apple's crap.. i'm switching to blackberry... i'll miss checking up on this website though..

I purchased my 3g iphone on eBay, it came with version 2.0 and a Turbo Sim with it, it worked perfectly. I then upgraded to 2.1 and thatstill worked. I then purchased the same Turbo Sim on eBay for version 2.2 and that also worked after I upgraded to 2.2 and Jailbreaked it, the only issue is the occasional "No Service" when the iPhone rejects the SIM CARD but then after I pop it into another T-Mobile phone and back into the iphone it works fine.

I am able to use iTunes to Sync my iPhone, also was able to download apps from the AppStore after the Jailbreak.

I am thinking of down grading to 2.1 so I can take advantage of the soft unlick coming out by the Dev team New Year's Eve.
