Jailbreaking and activating 3g iphone.

I haven't even opened the box yet. I just bought the 3g iphone a few days ago.

Anyways, If I jailbreak the phone and use itunes 8.0.2 to activate, will I have any problems activating because of the jailbreak with the new itunes version?

What program do you guys recommend using for the jailbreak process? I've been researching for a little and I haven't really gotten far with a choice. Nor have I really found any jailbreak tutorials for the 3g iphone on here, unless I haven't searched good enough.
