I've given ample evidence in this thread (and there are several more technical things I could go into) that this method is absolute crap from the get-go. In fact there is no "go" in that get-go, since you cannot run 2G firmware on a 3G iPhone.
Notice there are even replies on the blog claiming they've done just that -- put his 2G firmware on a 3G iPhone. I assure you this is not possible, even with a "bug in iTunes". You would end up with an iPhone whose screen would remain black.
The fact that he now claims he's contacted us, and is trying to use our "ignoring his email" as a battle cry, tells me he's not simply being ignorant, he's being deceptive.
