hi all, a few months ago i "pwnd" my iphone 2g, and during the process it neutered the baseband, or the bootloader, i cant remember which it said it was. my question is, do i have to install bootneuter & flip the switch for "neuter" option and then reflash my phone? or can i do an iTunes restore to get rid of it?

and help would be very much appreciated

hmmm i don't understand what u are asking, u want to get rid of what? unlock? or update baseband? or if u are asking restore from itune will get rib of unlock? really it doesn't matter if u leaving the phone stock or jailbreak, the unlock won't affect it either way. if u are thinking using att or something. just restore phone and stick chip in.

the Pwnage tool nuetered my baseband. i want to take it into the apple store to have the phone inspected for problems, so i want to get it to the factory settings.

so my question is, if i restore my iPhone, will it unnueter the baseband?
or to i have to run the bootnueter app & undo it that way.

well, if they are complain just act stupid and mad, always work, but u need to check 4.6, uncheck unlock, uncheck fake blank. then be close to where it was. restore phone, u are good to go. what kind of problem u are having with you iphone? i fix other problem include internal i can give u step by step instruction. but if u have warranty, just take it in

Your biggest problem will be the fact that you must be activated and running on AT&T's network....otherwise, they wont even touch it.

BootNeuter's modification of the bootloader is persistent across restores. The only thing that can remove the BootNeuter mod is BootNeuter itself, so you'll have to re-run it and turn both Neuter and Unlock off.

^^Oh, well then why did you run bootneuter?? Thats for unlocking the phone to use on other carriers.

i ran it by accident, i forgot to uncheck the tab when i created the "pwn" firmware
