hey i bought a used iphone 8gb, i unlocked and jailbroke under a 1.1.4 fw, and im currently using an original att sim card with a indirect cellphone dealer plan

(my parents used to own a cellphone store,and i took the demo line, 10 bucks a month, unlimited text, loads of minutes, who wouldn't),

I use the wifi on campus-no need for internet plans, although the plan comes with a certain amount of internet usage through "mmode" if anyone remembers.

im surprised i got it to work with this old sim, so im scared to mess with it again and upgrade to 2.1, (decided it was time to think about it since installer doesn't work anymore ) would my sim work with the 2.1

any suggestions, assurances, or recommendations?
