Looks like the dev team have finally been able to get into the 3G baseband.
And we all know what this means. Check out the video.

This is progress.... there is no indication as to WHICH baseband they are running code on though. For most of the world that has updated or purchased their phones with firmware 2.1 this may not work or be relevant. We will all have to wait for more info before we jump for joy or to false conclusions.

I think muscleman on the dev team blog has stated many times that they have ONLY been working on the original 2.0 baseband. All others such as myself who had the new baseband installed during the purchase of the phone are screwed unless a way to downgrade the baseband is found.

^^ Well, Apple has not known about the Exploit the DevTeam has used, so they wouldn't have fixed it.

I think itll work on 2.11.07 as well! But maybe not from 2.2's Baseband onwards (if Apple figured out where the exploit was through that really short video)
