does any one have any idea how close we are to a full ..... Unlock,Jailbreak for the iphone 3G.

I ask because i have i iphone 2G running on 2.1 unlocked and jail broken and am very happy with it ... but the 3G looks so much nicer and i have a chance to buy one... but don't want to buy it unless there is a solution in sight.

Actually the devs have the unlock already and their time table says they will release it 2 days before christmas. This is to help drive up sales of the new 3g model.

i just sold a 3G i had since i couldnt unlock it for 650. they look good but im happy w my 16gb 2G.

lol... The ever-so-awesome (no sarcasm) will release it when they feel it is ready. They actually test their stuff, and won't release some pre-alpha code for n00bs to brick themselves on.

I have had a look at the blog... and it is all just a load of double dutch to me ... LOL

does tis mean that we may see a software unlock soon... and will it be on Win PAWN like it was for the 2G ??

I bought my 3g and i have jailbroken it and i have to say it is the DOGS B*****s, but i have had to get a Virgin sim which once again works very well. but there is nothing like a proper unlock...

I hope when it does come that it will be simple for idots like me
