Well it feels good to be up to date with bug fixes!
I found the Good Locate to be more accurate too.

Works perfectly! I followed their steps and not a single hickup what so ever.
It first jailbreaks and activates 1.1.4
You then use the installer and the iClarified source to install the 'unlock 1.1.4' which patches the baseband to remove that evil AT&T fools right away and up comes your signal all strong and happy!
You then can remove the 'unlock 1.1.4' through uninstall to keep your installation of packages nice and clean.

I used my iphone quite heavily today and the firmware is a big improvement. Signal level is higher than the previous version and the find me is more accurate. Also it seems to boot a bit faster with a power on and off.
Also I have not had to patch one thing at all, even my mail works (tx and rx) on all accounts.
I just 'restored' since my last backup when itunes picked up the phone (even before I patched the baseband). Everything is there and works.
I was highly impressed with how easy it was compared to the old crazy days of up and downgrading like a damn yoyo. Took me 30 minutes and that included syncing up my 200 MP3s and video files, etc.

1.1.4 performs tasks faster (ex. Safari).
