Default iTunes needs to check carrier settings

I'm on T-mobile with Iphone 2G, just did a full Pwnage restore to v2.1 last night. Itunes 8.0.1 is asking "Itunes needs to check carrier settings". Should I do it? Or is there a risk of messing my phone up?

    Thanks,
    Alexander

what will happen if you dont do it? If it's not necessary then why risk it?

search the forum for a way to get around it. i did it when the new update FIRST came out and it bricked up my iPhone. i did a DFU reset and unbricked it. by then, there was a way around the carrier issue. just search around the site for it.

imo, just leave it alone. when it pops up, ignore it or reject it. lol. dont take chances, us t-mobile users dont have the opportunity to take our iPhones to the apple store if you know what i mean.

thank you mrsidewayzz! hearing from your experience and doing a search has made me decide that I'm gonna risk it. People keep talking about "error 1630". It's not worth having to repwn my Iphone for this. Thanks guys!
