no carrier no edge

i originally had 2.1 downgraded to 1.1.4 and used iliberty to jailbreak/activate/unlock phone.
i have a tmobile sim card. i do have wifi access and one single bar.

i can not make calls.
i do not have a carrier, under settings it reads

airplane mode
wifi
usage
sounds

also under network there is no edge.

i currently have a second iphone (my first one) working just fine on tmobile for about 2months, no problems.

any suggestions??

The baseband is updated through firmwares between 1.1.4 and 2.1, you cant simply go back to 1.1.4 - because the firmware/baseband wont match. So are you sure you downgraded properly?

Why not just stay on 2.1? You can still use Tmo.

what program should be used to jailbreak / activate and unlock 2.1?
i read that 1.1.4 is the most stable for tmobile...

2.1 is a good firmware.

If your MacOS...use "pwnage", if your on WinPC its a little more difficult but can be done with "quickpwn" and a custom firmware.
