Corrupt WinPwn Firmware File and Crashing iTunes
I have an iPhone first Gen that I'm trying to activate and unlock without a plan. I use WinPwn 2.0.4 or something like that (not 2.4) and I followed ipodtouched.net's instructions on making the firmware file for when I restore my iPhone. When I put the iPhone in DFU mode (the screen's all black and in recovery mode) I plug it in, iTunes recognizes it, and I shift restore. I select my file and it extracts. Then everything goes insane and I get a blue screen telling me that my computer crashed and is restarting. This happens EVERY time. I run iTunes 8.0. Can anyone help me? I'll provide any more information you need. Thanks!

Just saw an article on ZDnet's newsletter about iTunes causing BSOD's on Vista.
