I was given an iPhone and at first when I plugged it into my computer iTunes said that "iPhone cannot be used with iTunes because the information required for activation could not be obtained from the iPhone". So I bought a sim card from my local iPhone-selling carrier (Rogers) on a pay-as-you-go plan and popped it in. Now itunes tells me it is not a compatible sim card. Next I used Quickpwn to try to unlock it. This worked!!! I can use the iPhone... except for making/receiving calls. The phone is getting no service and when I try to make a call it just says "call failed". Any ideas what I'm missing? How can I make the phone function work? I have already adjusted the date and time settings and turned Caller ID on.
