Maybe i'm just giving people too much credit or maybe i don't understand something vital about the iphone unlocking scene, but why are people paying $100> retail for an unlocked iphone when there are so many easy ways to do it for free? Why not just buy one from apple.com or the apple store. I ask this primarily because I'm considering getting one for t-mobile and as far as i can tell it's as easy as buying an iphone and using the Ziphone (spelling?) program that was released a few days ago, am I wrong about this?

Not entirely true. The iPhone is available in France and Germany at 399 EURO ($584.93).

UK available at 269 GBP ($528.69)

So, smart shoppers in these countries will jump on ebay.COM and not ebay.co.uk or ebay.fr or ebay.de and purchase in the currently weak DOLLAR.

it's because the average ebayer isn't knowledgeable on the unlocks that are available. they just want an unlocked iphone at a low cost price. they go on ebay and say, "oh this iphone is $100 over retail and it's unlocked! i must buy this now"

Awesome, so it is as simple as i think. So are lots of people, on this board especially, buying iphones/unlocking them for free/and making some profit? Too much work? Ha, idk this all just seems to easy.
