Just bought a 3G.....My 2G SIM works in it...WTF?!?!?!?!

I thought I couldnt through my 2G SIM in there?

@ the signal bar, it says 3G, not Edge. My texts came in and I was able to make calls.

I currently have this SIM on a GoPhone Plan, and it goes up @ the end of the Month.

Whats up with this? Whats working/Not working with this SIM being in?

On another note, I was told that Im not gonna be able to port my GoPhone Number over to this number because my GoPhone is under my name and the 3G is under my sisters name. So since the names done match, I wouldnt be able to do it. Any truth to that?

all AT&T sims, including prepaid or not, will work perfectly fine in iPhone 3G in US, and probably official carrier around the world..

So the only issue with PrePaid GoPhone is. Its not available with 3G Data and the biggest thing, you cant buy the iPhone without a plan.
