ZIphone with ****sim solution??

I have a j/b 1.1.2 and using a *** sim solution for service with US Tmobile... if i update to 1.1.3 via itunes and then use ZIPHONE to just j/b...will the ***sim solution still work with the new baseband???? if no, is gunlock the best way to go via installer, or use the unlock on ZIPHONE???
