Is anyway to disable Edge network to avoid data fee after unlock?

Hi,

I just unlocked 2G w/firmware 2.0.1. I inserted an activated ATT sim with voice service only. However, I am still able to go to internet with Edge network. I just want to use the phone for voice and wi-fi only to avoid any data fee involved from ATT. Does anyone if I can disable or somehow not using data with edge network?

Bossprefs. Use it to disable edge.
