hey guys how do i find out my baseband? is it the modem firmware?

I have an otb 1.1.2, and i downgraded to 1.1.1, then did the geohot unlock, got it to unlock and stay at 1.1.2, but I was wondering how do I go about in upgrading to 1.1.3 after that. Is it still going to stay unlocked if I update to 1.1.3? Do I have to apply that softpatch update to 1.1.3. Please help, I keep reading and get different responses. Thanks!

Happened with me as well, just restart the phone and you will be having the sources automatically

any 1 having trouble with jailbreaking 1.1.1?? i've tried thousand of times but my 1.1.3 OTB iphone cant be jailbroke..

if your having trouble on the apptapp install step make sure your phone is docked and itunes is running.

Now for my question i have a jailbroken 1.1.3 iphone (1.1.2 ootb) with upgraded baseband can i still unlock, i am currently on the iPhone tariff (the new and improved cheaper one) but would just like to have the option of using other networks (especially when abroad). The reason I ask is that at the end of both guides that ive read it says stuff like "Since your BB still on 04.02.13_G" so does this mean that whilst unlocking my baseband will be downgraded in the processs??

When you upgraded to 1.1.2 with OKTOPREP you should get the 1015 error, use ibrickr to boot it then run the 1.1.2 jailbreak.

Updated using the Official dev team update through installer right? If it is, you might have to redo the entire step. If you did the Gunlock, you do not have to do that again. Your iphone already unlock. just need to redo the jailbreak and activation process all the way to upgrade to 1.1.3. Once you jailbreak to 1.1.2 you should get your signal.

YES , the Updating Baseband only work with the old 3.9 BL. And once you updated it, you will still need to unlock it again since the iphone is now back to lock after the baseband update. so the 4.6 BL will only remain unlock on 1.1.2

Is this the OTB 1.1.2 version? also did you upgraded the BSD subsytem 2.1?

Well i bought it used and was told it was downgraded already from 1.1.2 so im guessing it is 1.1.2 OTB. The serial reads 7R72, so that is week 72 right? which means BL 4.6, also baseband of 04.02.13_G.

Please let me know cuz i really would like to get it working soon, as i have no cell phone now.

I downloaded the BSD 2.1 from Nullriver. (5.1MB)

Understand the bit where you tap install and it comes up with the message do you then tap intall whist in wifi or do you press home put it into airplane mode then go back and install the geohot unlock whilst in airplane mode cheers

So im suppose to download it while in Airplane Mode?? Because then it wont be able to read the package itself, yanno what i mean?

Or do i wait until the downloading part is done then switch to Airplane mode while its about to unlock it while still being in the downloading part of it??

Im confused please explain.

I cannot thank enough everybody that made my unlock possible. Finally after a couple of months and sweat and lots of reading I have my otb 1.1.2 (downgraded to 1.1.1, then upgraded to original), 4.6, working with my chilean SIM card, every feature working perfectly well.
Please receive all my gratitude and respect for the excellent work and support, I could never have dreamed that a such a clueless noobie as me was ever going to be able to make it. I still feel that I need to pinch myself to believe I finally got it right.
