i currently have a blackberry 8100 (AT&T pearl)
and i recently recieved an iphone as a gift.
i know for sure that the iphone has the 4.6 bootloader and i downgraded the phone to 1.1.1.
i figured that if i just inserted my AT&T sim card it would just work.
but it says that i cant.
i jailbroke the iphone and i can use every function other than the actual phone function.
my question is:
what do i need to do to use the phone function w/o getting an iphone plan.

Follow this procedure exactly. I am not sure that the non iphone sim card will work however. but it is worth a try. your phone will not work until the VERY last step, so be prepared to be without phone functionality for an hour or two.

i followed the guide but i couldnt finish the last step.
i put in my phones ip address and it wouldnt connect.

After you install SSH you should reboot the phone, to make sure that it starts,

It should start it while it is being installed, but I just booted my phone to be sure when I did it. I also connected with SSH before trying to connect with an SFTP program, because it should create the SSH keys on first connect, and you can see once they are created, because it will ask if you would like to save the keys in your SSH client, this also let's you know that SSH is definetly running on the phone before connecting with an SFTP program, to transfer the lockdownd file.
