Unlocking 2g Iphone help
SO my friend cracked the heck out of the screen on his iphone so decided to switch to tmobile and get a sidekick. He gave me his iphone so I could mess around with it. I upgraded it but now I have to activate it. Is there anyway I can activate it without using Itunes? And if there is no other way will it mess up my iphone if I activate it using my sim card already in my phone?
I have a mac

Pwange will Jailbreak/Unlock/Activate by creating a custom firmware that you restore using iTunes. Search the threads for guides.

I downloaded the firmware but it keeps on saying not right bundle

Does the firmware filename start with 1,2 or 1,1?

The correct firmware for a first generation iphone starts with iPhone 1,1_
