Pwned 2G Iphone Bricked after reset ??

I FIXED IT - but read on for your own knowledge
I WAS NOT USING THE CORRECT DFU PROCEDURE FOR 2.0,
CORRECT PROCEDURE - POWER OFF WHILE CONNETED, THEN HOME+POWER, RELEASE POWER, ENTER DFU MODE

__________________________________________________ __________

I was unlocking the phone for a frient with winpwn 2.0.0.4, successfully upgraded to 2.0.1 from 1.1.4 (this is subscribed phone) so no unlocking.

setup wifi, made calls, all good, I launched Cydia, got a message to upgrade essentials , I proceeded to do that, took about 5 minutes, the phone appeared to be stuck still in cydia. I though something got stuck so I rebooted the phone. Everything came back except now when I launched Cydia. Got the message If I am User, Expert or Hacker (those familiar with Cydia know what i'm talking about). I chose user, it would pause for 2 seconds and bring me back to springboard, I tried again, rebooted again, expert mode, hacker mode, again, same result all the time.

I though something went wrong when I cancelled Cydia update and rebooted prepaturely, so I decided to do a reset.

Settings > General > Reset >Erase all content and settings

it warned me that it will take an hour, thinking it will reflash itself. I started the process. It showed the progress bar for little over a hour completed 100%, rebooted itself, and the apple logo showed up, it vibrated twice, the just below the Apple Logo, the "wait" circle started spinning and then froze.

I let it sit for 2 hours, remained Frozen, I rebooted it , same result. I put it in Hardware DFU (Power+home) tried to recover, itunes fails with 1601 error.

I at at a loss here, is there an issue with reset with pwned 2g phones. Is this phone bricked in the middle of firware (Although i thing it went pass that, but I could be wrong). If bricked, what is the fix. Thanks you in advance.

FYI using 7.7.1.11 Itunes

when you erase all content it doesnt reflash the phone
it just deletes all the user added content it doesnt reflash the fw
put the phone back into DFU and do a restore to 2.01
then redo the whole pwn process again
should work just fine

dont worry, uninstall this itunes, before you have to install i tunes 7.5 and put your iphone in dfu mode, and restore your phone with iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore firmware, and after this, you have to restore with the iPhone1,1_1.1.4_4A102_Restore firmware, in itunes appear, an error at final of process but, this is completly normally, out of recovery mode with iliberty, and restore again.
after this, run ZiPhoneGUI, and you have to make an baseband erase. restore again with the 1.1.4 firmware and run ziphone for activation and jailbreaking procedure.
