Good Afternoon!
I´ve browsed all the website looking for a solution to my problem, and still nothing...
The thing is:
I´ve recently purchased an unlocked/jailbreaked week 38 iphone from a friend. It was just ok (everything working except bluetooth). The firmware version installed was 1.0.2 (03.14.08_G) (the 4th and 5th serial numbers are "38".
As some applications were not installing and Installer was not updating, I decded to upgrade the firmware to version 1.1.1 and jailbreak/unlock the phone again.
I have downloaded the firmware restore file from Mac, and made the update using iTunes.
The thing is tha now, i simply can´t follow the jailbreaking process becouse everytime I dial "*#307#" from the emergency call screen, instead of acting as predicted, the fone won´t complete the call and displays the message: "Error performing request/ SIM Not Inserted".
I tryed using a SIM and repeat the process and nothing....
I´ve tried downgrading to my previously installed firmware (1.0.2) using iTunes and it shows a different error ("unknown error [...] error #1)...
If I try to put the phone in recovery mode, the cable and iTUnes simbol shows up, and I can´t get it out unless I restore to the very same 1.1.1 firmware...
I think it happened becouse i didn´t "re-virginezed" my phone before upgrading...(I did not know that step existed...

)
If anyone could help me, please, I would be very pleased... I´ve been saving up for an iPhone for a while, and now I got it, I´m stuck...
Thank you!
