Lightbulb Unlocked iPhone 1.1.3 with fully working Google Maps

    Hi Guys,
Just wanted to share some personal revelation.

I was just able to upgrade to 1.1.3, keep my iPhone unlocked and be able to use the full features of the Google Maps, including the "Locate Me" feature.

I first updated a few days ago and I was happy to find it worked. But then it stopped for some reason. I read later that I was not supposed to have both working.
    So, how did it happen?
I also read that some people have been able to get it working partially by running a script on a phones hat have been unlocked previously with IPFS.
    But I used AnySIM.
    So what was the trick?
I played around with the two iPhones I have handy for 2 days until the revelation came.

    Its so very simple.
Follow any of the guides to upgrade your iphone to 1.1.3 while having an unlocked baseband. I have used both Nate's and Dev Team's method to do this.
After you have the 1.1.3 running. Install BDS Subsystem. Then install the little 3rd party program "Locate Me". If you try Google Maps now, its still not working.
However, run Locate Me just once. Once you do, Google Maps own locate me feature starts running for some reason. You can even remove "Locate Me", and Maps will still retain its full functionality.

Funny thing is that Locate Me shows my location 100+mile off target, while Maps has me pointed to within 1000 feet.

However, once I rebooted it was all gone again. I reinstalled Located Me, run it and there you go again. Maps is also working.

I am attaching an Image of maps in action in my home city of Varna Bulgaria. The Mobile operator is M-Tel BG. Hope that proves my claim.

I also hope I am not giving away old news, but I could not find those myself. regards, lantinian

This worked for me as well. Thanks!!!

However, at my home, Locate me was a little closer to correct. I'll have to try at a couple a different locations to find out if this continues to hold true...
